²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Foundation Limited

The ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Foundation Limited was established in 1988 as the university’s fundraising arm. Today, the university’s commitment to supporting research, student experience and community engagement through fundraising is ongoing.

The fundraising effort is managed centrally through Lindsay Robinson, as the Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Foundation Limited.

The ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Foundation promotes philanthropy to advance the university’s goals in research, faculty projects, scholarships, external engagement and capital campaigns. The ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Foundation office receives contributions made by alumni, supporters, foundations and corporations. The university invests and manages the contributions to protect and enhance their value and disburses them to ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµâ€™s faculties and divisions.

David Gonski AC, ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Chancellor and Chairman of the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Foundation Limited Board, along with the Board of Directors are dedicated to building dynamic partnerships to support key research objectives and other University priorities.

The ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Foundation Limited acts as Trustee for The University of New South Wales Foundation, which is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) by the Australian Taxation Office under item 2 of the table in section 30-14 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Subdivision 30-B) as an Ancillary fund.

²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Hong Kong Foundation

The ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Hong Kong Foundation Ltd was incorporated in November 2005 as a joint initiative between ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ and alumni in Hong Kong who wanted to give something back to the Hong Kong community and support the University.

The Foundation is a registered charity and donations are tax deductible.

The key objectives of the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Hong Kong Foundation are as follows:

  • Provide scholarships, grants and other funding and support for students, academics and researchers associated with Hong Kong to study at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ.
  • Support and foster educational and research activities and links between Hong Kong and ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ.
  • Promote the advancement of education and higher education.
  • Support the international activities and direction of the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Foundation.
