David is a post-doctoral research scientist investigating the co-morbidities of viral infection. His primary interests are quantifying immune traits that lead to disease and quantifying how people react to pathogens including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1), papillomavirus (HPV) and tuberculosis either during natural infection or undergoing treatment.

Fundamental basic research and clinical application to address the effect of standard treatment and experimental immunotherapies for infections (and vaccinations) including HPV, HIV and tuberculosis. Extensive experience in the field of immunovirology, lead in the development and completion of multiple national/international clinical trial projects requiring precise laboratory investigations.

My Research Supervision

Currently, I am supervising an HDR candidate to completion within a programme to understand the determinants of HIV-1 viral reservoir dissemination during early and chronic infection. The model tested is testing the effect of integrase-inhibitor (INSTI) therapy upon seeding of the HIV-1 reservoir in treatment na茂ve participants.聽
