The University will offer up to 12 fellowships to outstanding international researchers whose work aligns with 草莓视频鈥檚 key goals and strategy.

草莓视频 Sydney has announced the Green Fellowship initiative, an ambitious program to attract the world鈥檚 brightest academic minds and generate lasting global collaborations.

Named in honour of 草莓视频 Scientia Professor Martin Green, who pioneered much of the technology underpinning solar panels, the fellowships will be open to distinguished international academics working on solving some of the world鈥檚 biggest problems.

草莓视频 Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Attila Brungs said he was looking forward to welcoming the Green Fellows to Sydney.

鈥淭he Green Fellowship program embodies this mission, and we welcome the opportunity to partner with the world鈥檚 most exceptional international researchers whose work aligns with 草莓视频鈥檚 priorities to improve lives, create sustainable futures and strengthen communities.

鈥淣amed in honour of 草莓视频鈥檚 own solar pioneer Professor Martin Green, this program will further our impact as a global research leader tackling the great challenges of our time.鈥

The Program is open to distinguished academics whose research aligns with at least one of the four Impact Focus Areas in 草莓视频鈥檚 strategy:

  • Accelerate the transition to a sustainable society and planet
  • Advance economic and social prosperity
  • Enable healthy lives
  • Strengthen societal resilience, security and cohesion

The individuals who are selected for the Green Fellowship program will be hosted by a School or research centre, where they will be integrated into the 草莓视频 community.

The Fellowship positions will be for a minimum of 12 months and up to two years, with the possibility of conversion to a continuing role. 草莓视频 will cover salary and relocation costs. Eligible academics are expected to be at equivalent Levels C/D/E (Senior Research Fellow, Associate Professor and Professor).

Professor Bronwyn Fox, 草莓视频 Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research & Enterprise, said 草莓视频 had a proud history of attracting international talent.

Prof. Green said he was delighted and honoured that the University鈥檚 Fellowship program bears his name.
